Stop crime - it is everyone's business
Every citizen has a part to play in keeping Singapore a crime-free city. If you have a friend who is or who may be gay, your friend and his family will have been living a life that is substandard because of a law that makes him a criminal for the way he expresses his affection to his loved one.
Start caring - don't let the law spread dishonesty
You can make Singapore a more compassionate and caring society by showing that you value honesty and you appreciate the true selves of your countrymen. Love is not a crime.

Stop distrust - make Singapore a city of truth and friendship
If you happen not to know a gay person, it is only because no one has come out to you yet. But gay men are everywhere and they may already be your friend or family member just that you don't know it. One of the reasons why they are not telling you is because of this law.
Start giving yourself, and your friend, a chance to love
Your MPs and Singapore's law-makers need to know that you care for your friends, that you do not want to live in a country of criminals (especially since they are not harming anyone), that you believe love between consenting adults should not be banned. Please let them know, today, that Section 377A of the Penal Code has no place in our world-class city.

On the following page, you will find an open letter addressed to Mr Lee Hsien Loong, Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore to appeal for the abolition of Section 377A of the Singapore Penal Code. If you believe in making Singapore a country of fairness and equality, please sign the open letter online before October 19, 2007. This letter will be sent, with all your online signatories, to the Prime Minister in the following week.
